The Arizona settlement (2026)
In February 2026 the Arizona Attorney General announced an $11.8 million consent judgment with Choice, dated January 23, 2026. The AG alleged Choice refused advertised air conditioning and appliance claims and did not adequately disclose exclusions, citing more than 1,500 complaints since 2013. Choice denied wrongdoing. The AG opened a restitution process for eligible Arizona customers.
Earlier history
In 2015 Choice reached a settlement of roughly $780,000 with the New Jersey Attorney General's office related to consumer complaints.
